Though we must never discriminate against ANY type of chocolate, there is one note-worthy bar that has made a lasting impression worldwide.

The Wonka Bar was a fictional confectionery bar written into the novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” It inspired the creation of a real Wonka Bar, which became popular after the novel was made into a film, re-titled Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory to promote the Willie Wonka brand confectionery company. In the film, golden tickets are hidden in the Wonka bars and whichever child found a ticket won a trip to the magical Wonka factory for a tour guided by Willie Wonka himself. The crew of children and their family members, and Mr. Wonka, get into mischief when they find themselves being involved in an experiment to test new candy. The film was a huge success, so it is no surprise that after the release of this film, the Wonka Bar became a favorite among children and adults. The movie did so well, in fact, that people still buy Wonka Bars today,over 45 years later! There was since a re-make done of the movie starring Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka.
